PACER Integrative Behavioral Health Certifications

Our certifications are designed to assist people in improving their abilities to help others.  Each certification has certain training requirements based on the PACER Method of Integrative Behavioral Health. 

Training can be acquired from any accredited college, or CEU provider approved by NAADAC, NBCC, CRC or a state board which licenses or certifies health or behavioral health professionals. 

Each certification requires  passing of a comprehensive exam.  Maintaining your certification requires 10 hours of continuing education annually, plus demonstration of a minimal amount of actual field work.

CERTIFICANTS AUTOMATICALLY RECEIVE A FREE 1 YEAR MEMBERSHIP 

PACER Method INTEGRATIVE BEHAVIORAL HEALTH COACH

Certificants can apply the PACER Method to identify Physical, Affective, Cognitive, Environmental and Relational causes and consequences of and interventions for behavioral health issues.

Training Required:  350 hours +  IAIHP Comprehensive Exam

PACER Method TRAUMA INFORMED CARE

Certificants will recognize the biopsychosocial impact of trauma on the individual; be able to identify and mitigate trauma triggers in all PACER domains; and help individuals address their presenting issues in a way that helps them feel safe, empowered and competent. 

Training Required:  200 hours +  IAIHP Comprehensive Exam

PACER Method COGNITIVE BEHAVIORAL COACH

Certificants will be able to apply a variety of cognitive behavioral approaches to help people address and improve their physical, emotional and mental health and relationships.

Training Required: 150 Hours +  IAIHP Comprehensive Exam

PACER Method INTEGRATIVE BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CASE MANAGEMENT

Case managers are essential to help people in access and apply treatment recommendations of health and behavioral health clinicians.  Case managers help coordinate recommended services; monitor and maintain motivation and provide linkages to resources and services for the individual and their caregivers within the community. 

Training Required:  375 hours +  IAIHP Comprehensive Exam
